Captain Howler, Sea Scourge by Brutaca

Format: Commander

Commander: Captain Howler, Sea Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet list is a discard-synergy combo deck that uses the graveyard as a second hand. Captain Howler is a backup pump/draw engine; the real hidden commander is the pinger package-Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, and Magmakin Artillerist-each of which turns a discard into table-wide damage. The primary win is the A+B+C loop: a pinger plus Curiosity/Ophidian Eye plus one of four zero-mana discard outlets, repeated until every opponent is at zero. Secondary lines use wheels and looters to find pieces, treasure from Malcolm/Professional Face-Breaker to fuel big turns, and unblockable creatures pumped by Captain Howler or Brallin counters to win by combat.
