Deck overview

This Golgari deck harnesses Chatterfang, Squirrel General to convert any token creation into an explosive army of 1/1 green Squirrels. By pairing everyday utility tokens like Food, Clues, and Treasures from cards like Academy Manufactor and Tireless Provisioner with Chatterfang's doubling replacement effect, the deck rapidly builds wide board states. The primary game plan focuses on mid-game critical mass: establishing mana and token generators by Turn 4, presenting an overwhelming lethal board state on Turn 6 with Beastmaster Ascension or aristocrat drain pieces like Mirkwood Bats and Bastion of Remembrance, and closing the game on Turn 7. Chatterfang provides on-board creature control through its repeatable sacrifice ability, holding opposing commanders at bay. While the deck lacks fast mana, universal tutors, and stack countermagic, its high redundancy in token generation and death triggers ensures steady, compounding pressure that punishes opponents who fail to find exile-based sweepers.
