Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and control strategy led by Lulu, Stern Guardian. The game plan revolves around stalling opposing combat steps using stun counters, tapping effects, and efficient reactive spells while assembling evasive win conditions. Early turns focus on developing mana through basic Islands and utility artifacts such as Bender's Waterskin. Midgame turns establish Lulu and defensive enchantments like Lost in the Maze, leaving mana open for a wide array of counterspells and bounce effects. Once the board is stabilized, the deck transitions into the offensive phase using massive unblockable attackers like The Mindskinner and Hraesvelgr of the First Brood, or by distributing poison counters via Prologue to Phyresis and proliferating them with Lulu's activated ability. While vulnerable to resolved noncreature permanents and prolonged multiplayer combat clocks, the deck maintains high consistency through reactive interaction and dedicated permanent protection.
