Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck pairs Vhal, Candlekeep Researcher with the Background Clan Crafter to create a synergistic Voltron and big-mana engine. Because Vhal taps to produce colorless mana equal to her toughness, Clan Crafter turns her into both an escalating mana source and a draw engine by sacrificing artifact tokens for +1/+1 counters. The deck generates artifact tokens using cards like Sai, Master Thopterist, Forensic Gadgeteer, and Servo Schematic, then funnels Vhal's mana into equip costs and high-cost artifact abilities. Unblockable and protective equipment such as Brotherhood Regalia, Commander's Plate, and Psychic Paper allow Vhal to attack safely with vigilance while tapping post-combat to fuel further growth. The deck eliminates opponents through lethal unblockable commander damage, supported by backup combat threats like Kappa Cannoneer.
