Deck overview

Vona, Butcher of Magan leads an Orzhov midrange deck focused on incremental lifegain, board control, and creature combat. Vona acts as both a lifelink attacker and repeatable removal engine, paying life to destroy critical opposing nonland permanents. The deck deploys synergistic creatures, including Villains and Heroes, that benefit from life gain, card draw, and teamwork mechanics. High-impact threats like Doctor Doom, Captain Marvel, and M.O.D.O.K. establish board dominance while whittling down opponents. Win conditions rely on grinding out card advantage, overwhelming opponents with resilient creatures buffed by Citizen V, and finishing players off with combat damage or life-drain spells like Essence Harvest.
