Deck overview

This deck is a classic Sultai graveyard midrange strategy piloted by Muldrotha, the Gravetide. Its central game plan revolves around filling the graveyard with self-mill and sacrifice effects, resolving Muldrotha on turn 5, and taking control of the board on turn 6 by replaying lands, creatures, artifacts, and enchantments directly from the graveyard. It grinds down opponents through persistent asymmetric attrition using repeatable edicts like Fleshbag Marauder and combat blanking via Spore Frog. The deck closes games around turns 8-9 through exponential token generation with Scute Swarm or direct life-loss bursts using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. While the deck generates massive late-game card advantage, its reliance on a six-mana commander, sorcery-speed interaction, and vulnerability to graveyard hate represent its chief operational bottlenecks.
