Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and Voltron control strategy commanded by Super Shredder. The primary plan is to deploy the commander early and cast redundant edict creatures like Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Accursed Marauder. Because Super Shredder gains a +1/+1 counter whenever any permanent leaves the battlefield, each edict clears opposing creatures while placing multiple counters on the commander. Recurring sacrifice fodder such as Reassembling Skeleton, Bloodghast, and Ophiomancer fuels card advantage engines like Skullclamp and Grim Haruspex. Protective equipment including Whispersilk Cloak and Swiftfoot Boots ensures Super Shredder can safely attack for lethal commander damage. While the deck boasts oppressive creature attrition and resilient card flow, it lacks instant stack interaction and answers to noncreature permanents. Backup drain engines like Syr Konrad, the Grim and Gray Merchant of Asphodel provide reach to close out the table.
