Commander: Tovolar, Dire Overlord // Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Tovolar, Dire Overlord is the draw engine; the deck is built to keep him on his front face, attacking with a growing pack of Wolves and Werewolves. The back face's pump ability is a secondary mana sink, not the plan. The primary path is wide combat damage, accelerated by token generators and anthem effects; secondary paths are a double-power swing from Unnatural Growth and Arlinn emblem inevitability. There is no hidden commander-Arlinn, the Pack's Hope and Huntmaster of the Fells fill engine roles. Typical wins come from a critical mass of trampling, hasted Wolves plus commander-draw staying ahead of opponents.
