Uruk-hai by Schmenace

Format: Commander

Commander: Mauhúr, Uruk-hai Captain

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Mauhur, Uruk-hai Captain is a counter-amplification commander for a Rakdos Orc/Goblin swarm. The deck builds tall Armies and wide Goblin boards at the same time: amass spells create Army tokens while Goblin generators like Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin and Krenko, Mob Boss create a horde. Mauhur adds an extra +1/+1 counter to every counter event on an Army, Goblin, or Orc, making amass and Krenko triggers more explosive. The hidden commander is The Great Goblin, which turns those counter events into direct damage. Winning is almost exclusively combat: extra combat effects, double strike from Assault on Osgiliath, and unchallenged hasty attacks close out the game.
