Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange aggro strategy centered on the partner pairing of Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart. The core engine leverages Michelangelo to generate attacking momentum, Food tokens, and initial counters, which immediately triggers Leonardo to distribute +1/+1 counters across your entire board. The deck amplifies this baseline synergy through potent counter multipliers such as Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, Cathars' Crusade, and The Earth Crystal. Once a wide board is established, the deck transitions into lethal combat pressure via Leonardo's five-color keyword activation, Raphael, the Muscle's damage doubling, and asymmetric board resets like Wave Goodbye. A robust defensive suite featuring Clever Concealment and Mutational Advantage shields your investments against opposing sweepers. While lacking stack-based counterspells and dedicated nonland tutors, the list maintains consistent board development, smooth mana fixing, and resilient recursive recovery.
