Sea creatures by user3682268

Format: Commander

Commander: Kenessos, Priest of Thassa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kenessos, Priest of Thassa is a Simic sea-monster cheat deck that uses the commander's activated ability to turn scry and top-deck filtering into a repeatable battlefield tutor for Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents. The primary plan is to stack a large sea monster on top, activate Kenessos, then swing with evasive 6/8-mana threats that arrive four to five turns early. Spawning Kraken and Koma generate additional tokens, while Stormtide Leviathan plus Serpent of Yawning Depths creates a soft lock. The secondary plan is to hard-cast sea monsters using ramp, card draw, and extra lands if the commander is repeatedly removed. There is no one-turn table kill; the deck wins by sequential combat.
