Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Temur Voltron and spellslinger strategy built around the partner pairing of Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist. The game plan accelerates into an early Pako deployment using mana acceleration and specialized Elemental dorks like Smokebraider and Flamebraider. Pako attacks immediately due to native haste, exiling four cards each combat while growing steadily with +1/+1 counters. Haldan, Avid Arcanist turns those exiled cards into an expansive virtual hand of lands and noncreature spells. The deck shields Pako using an abundant suite of one-mana and two-mana protection spells that grant hexproof and indestructible, such as Gaea's Gift and Defend the Rider. Lethal bursts are delivered through power multipliers like Temur Battle Rage and Choose Your Weapon, paired with evasion from cards like Sword Coast Sailor. By eliminating opponents sequentially across Turns 5 through 7, the deck maintains steady combat pressure supported by cheap interaction.
