Proliferate Persist test

Format: Commander

Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund -1/-1 counter attrition deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More. The primary game plan is to blanket opponents' boards in -1/-1 counters, then leverage the commander's death trigger to steal their creatures as they expire. The deck is built around a deep persist package - Woodfall Primus, Thunderblust, Cauldron of Souls, and a dozen more - that returns threats with -1/-1 counters, feeding Blowfly Infestation, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and The Scorpion God for exponential value. Purphoros, God of the Forge provides a burn clock off the token generation, while Necroskitter and Puppeteer Clique offer redundant theft. The deck wins through overwhelming board presence, combat damage from recurring persist threats, and Purphoros triggers, grinding opponents out over a long game.
