Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Spellslinger Voltron list commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy revolves around deploying Azula early via efficient 2-CMC artifacts and rituals, then exploiting her dual combat abilities: firebending 2 to generate {R}{R} on attack, and a triggered ability that copies any spell cast while she is attacking. By stacking cheap combat tricks, evasion spells like Shadow Rift, and exponential power multipliers like Unleash Fury and Bulk Up, the deck quickly converts Azula into a lethal commander damage threat. Redundant card advantage engines like Archmage Emeritus, Rhystic Study, and The One Ring keep the hand full of cheap interaction, while copied burn spells like Soul's Fire allow damage to bypass defensive ground boards. Protective equipment such as Champion's Helm and Swiftfoot Boots ensure Azula survives through combat to eliminate opponents sequentially by turn 7.
