Commander: Mizzix of the Izmagnus

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Mizzix of the Izmagnus is a spellslinger combo deck that turns experience counters into massive cost reduction and a ritual-fueled storm turn. The primary plan is to land Mizzix early, chain cheap instants and sorceries with proliferate effects to grow her, and use Reiterate with buyback copying Seething Song or Desperate Ritual to generate infinite red mana. That mana feeds uncounterable X-spells such as Banefire or Red Sun's Zenith. Backup paths include Thousand-Year Storm copying a critical mass of spells and Niv-Mizzet, Parun pinging opponents as the deck draws. Birgi, God of Storytelling // Harnfel, Horn of Bounty acts as a hidden mana engine, while tutors and recursion keep the line intact and free counterspells protect the winning turn.
