Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov lifegain deck is helmed by Selenia, the Cursed Heart, whose passive ability doubles all life you gain, and whose death curse can accelerate opponent life loss. The primary game plan is to establish a steady stream of life-gain triggers through cards like Drana's Emissary, Campaign of Vengeance, and Bastion of Remembrance, then convert that life total into opponent life loss using drain payoffs such as Defiant Bloodlord, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Vizkopa Guildmage's second ability. The deck packs a robust suite of board wipes and spot removal to control the board, and features a moderate recursion package to return key pieces. The ultimate finisher is often Exsanguinate for a large X, or a massive drain turn after doubling life with Revival // Revenge. The deck is slow, tutorless, and lacks counterspells, relying on incremental advantage and attrition to outlast opponents.
