Deck overview

Zedruu the Greathearted commands a political control strategy centered on donating disruptive permanents while building overwhelming card advantage and life totals. The deck develops early mana rocks, establishes pillowfort defenses like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda, and casts Zedruu to fuel draw engines. Primary win conditions include gifting catastrophic permanents such as Nine Lives or Illusions of Grandeur before removing them to eliminate players, locking opponents out of casting creatures with Steel Golem or Grid Monitor, draining life totals with Psychosis Crawler, and casting Approach of the Second Sun twice using Zedruu upkeep card draw to swiftly dig back to it.
