Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan toxic and infect midrange deck led by Vishgraz, the Doomhive. It leverages premium fast mana including Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Mox Diamond alongside green mana dorks to deploy disruptive stax pieces and early toxic threats ahead of curve. The core strategy revolves around establishing early poison counters using efficient creatures such as Skrelv, Defector Mite and Blightbelly Rat, then landing Vishgraz on Turn 4 to flood the board with toxic Mite tokens and a rapidly scaling menace threat. As opponents accumulate poison, Vishgraz grows into a lethal beatstick capable of one-shotting players while proliferation engines like Vraska, Betrayal's Sting and Staff of Compleation tick down the table. While backed by potent tutors and oppressive stax like Drannith Magistrate and Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, the deck finishes primarily through combat, making its clock reliant on multiple attack steps.
