Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and voltron strategy commanded by Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival. It leverages Zenos's Burning Chains ability to bypass the traditional multiplayer requirement of defeating three separate opponents. By designating one rival and winning immediately when that player loses the game, the deck concentrates all offensive resources into a single focal point. The early game establishes reliable mana acceleration and persistent card draw through engines like Black Market Connections and Phyrexian Arena. On Turn 5, Zenos enters the battlefield, clears small creatures, and immediately transforms into the 8/8 flying dragon Shinryu via an efficient removal spell like Snuff Out. Equipped with power-boosting tools such as Lashwrithe and backed by low-cost recursion spells, Shinryu eliminates the chosen opponent in two combat steps to secure victory.
