Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari attrition and Voltron strategy commanded by Kraven the Hunter. The game plan revolves around casting Kraven early and chaining symmetric edict effects such as Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Sheoldred's Edict. Whenever opponents sacrifice their highest-power creatures, Kraven grows with +1/+1 counters and refills the hand. With built-in trample, Kraven converts board control directly into a lethal commander-damage clock. To protect this investment, the deck runs a dense suite of efficient, one-mana defensive instants including Royal Treatment, Defend the Rider, and Tyvar's Stand. While the deck excels at dismantling opposing 'tall' boards and generating incremental card advantage, it lacks infinite combos, extra-combat steps, and nonland tutors. As a result, closing out a four-player game requires navigating several combat rotations, leaving the deck vulnerable to go-wide token swarms and mass exile sweepers.
