Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis combat spellslinger list commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy revolves around attacking with Azula to generate temporary red mana through Firebending 2 and copying spells cast during combat. By timing instants, flash spells, and Lessons during the combat phase, the deck doubles its card draw, removal, and burn output. Supporting creatures like Guttersnipe, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Archmage Emeritus compound this advantage by dealing damage and drawing cards on every cast and copy. High-impact finishers such as Avatar Roku, Firebender, Ozai, the Phoenix King, and Comet Storm allow the deck to convert combat mana into game-ending damage waves. While the deck possesses strong burn velocity and resilient backup beaters, its reliance on declaring attacks makes it vulnerable to well-timed creature removal and board sweepers.
