Deck overview

This deck is a Bant counter-focused Voltron and midrange strategy led by Perrie, the Pulverizer. The game plan revolves around accumulating a diverse spectrum of counter types—such as shield, oil, charge, time, slumber, and +1/+1 counters—across cheap permanents. On Turn 4, Perrie enters the battlefield with a shield counter, turning the accumulated counter diversity into massive offensive power. By Turn 5, Perrie attacks, granting trample and a massive stat boost based on the number of unique counter kinds controlled. Supported by combat enhancers like Duelist's Heritage and Finest Hour, Perrie can eliminate opponents in rapid succession with lethal commander damage. Counter retention engines like The Ozolith and Resourceful Defense ensure that your investment in counters persists through removal, while protective spells like Mutational Advantage and Ripples of Potential shield your board against board wipes. Backup win conditions like Dark Depths and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower provide strong resilience if the commander is removed.
