Deck overview

This deck is a Simic 'X-spells matter' and +1/+1 counters deck helmed by Zimone, Infinite Analyst. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Zimone on Turn 3, followed by casting an initial X-spell on Turn 4 to put counters on her and establish a recurring cost reduction. As Zimone grows, she discounts subsequent X-spells each turn, synergizing heavily with mana accelerators such as Elementalist's Palette, Nexos, and Unbound Flourishing. Around Turn 6, the deck converts this velocity into game-ending pressure through catastrophic spells like Doppelgang, Awaken the Woods, or enormous threats such as Primordial Hydra and Primo, the Unbounded. Table finishes are usually secured on Turn 7 via unblockable swings provided by Herald of Secret Streams, trample damage, or direct pings from Walking Ballista. A tight suite of protection spells shields your threats against removal.
