Deck overview

This Esper deck is an oppressive Spellslinger Burn and Pillowfort Control strategy commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The game plan revolves around casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to trigger Y'shtola's ability, dealing 2 damage to each opponent while gaining 2 life, and drawing extra cards on end steps when life loss thresholds are met. The deck amplifies this burn-drain engine using trigger multipliers like Delney, Streetwise Lookout, clone permanents such as Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Spark Double, and curiosity effects like Curiosity and Ophidian Eye that turn each spell cast into a triple-draw burst. Defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Trouble in Pairs shut down opposing aggression and extra turns, while an elite suite of free interaction—including Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will, and Deadly Rollick—protects the board. The deck swiftly transitions into a lethal spell storm, eliminating all three opponents simultaneously through unblockable noncombat damage.
