Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Izzet Spellslinger strategy built around Eris, Roar of the Storm. The game plan revolves around rapidly filtering cards into the graveyard to maximize the diversity of mana values among instants and sorceries. High-cost cyclers like Magma Opus and Creative Outburst bin themselves early, dropping Eris's casting cost from ten mana down to two or four mana as early as Turn 4. Once Eris resolves, casting two spells each turn creates 4/4 flying prowess Dragon Elemental tokens. The deck uses low-cost cantrips and free countermagic such as Force of Will and Foil to easily meet the double-spell requirement on both active and opposing turns. Board control is maintained through one-sided reset buttons like Sunderflock and Perplexing Test, which clear opposing nontoken blockers while leaving the Elemental armada untouched. Lethal damage accumulates quickly in the air, overwhelming the table across Turns 6 and 7.
