Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Ramp and Stompy strategy commanded by Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood. It leverages +1/+1 counters, flood counters, and utility counters to generate massive mana and untap value. Early turns prioritize efficient land and creature ramp to deploy counter-generating pieces like Kami of Whispered Hopes and Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. Once Xolatoyac enters on Turn 5, its end-step trigger doubles the utility of counter-bearing lands and dorks, unlocking explosive mana pools. The mid-to-late game converts this resource velocity into overwhelming combat finishes using Finale of Devastation, Overwhelming Stampede, and colossal beaters like Worldspine Wurm. While resilient against single-target interaction through redundant big-mana threats, the deck is vulnerable to sweepers and carries minimal reactive interaction.
