Deck overview

This Esper deck focuses on an aggressive equipment and Aura strategy led by Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain. The primary game plan revolves around deploying early value creatures, cost reducers, and impactful equipment, followed by resolving Arna on Turn 5. Once Arna attacks alongside a modified creature on Turn 6, her ability exponentially doubles +1/+1 counters and creates permanent token copies of all attached nontoken Equipment and Auras. This rapidly scales board power, multiplying the triggers of powerful cards like Sword of Feast and Famine, Eldrazi Conscription, and Bloodforged Battle-Axe. Card flow is sustained through combat triggers and equipment-based draw engines such as Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer. Defensively, the deck relies on built-in ward, protection swords, and phase-out effects like Guardian of Faith. The deck achieves victory through overwhelming evasive commander damage and wide construct beatdowns, eliminating the table over two turn cycles by Turn 8 without relying on infinite combos.
