Deck overview

This mono-black control deck revolves around ruthless hand destruction, resource denial, and rack-style attrition. Led by Urgoros, the Empty One, the list focuses on stripping all three opponents of their cards through symmetrical discard spells like Dark Deal, Rankle's Prank, and Syphon Mind. Once opposing hands are emptied, the deck leverages powerful engines like Waste Not, Geth's Grimoire, and Tinybones, Trinket Thief to build massive card and mana advantages while opponents are stuck in topdeck mode. Defensive tools like Ensnaring Bridge, Toxic Deluge, and efficient spot removal keep aggressive boards in check. The deck closes games through compounding life loss from passive rack enchantments like Court of Ambition, Shrieking Affliction, and Painful Quandary, or by channeling big mana from Cabal Coffers into a lethal Torment of Hailfire or multiple Tinybones, Trinket Thief activations. It thrives on grindy tables where denying options leads to inevitable victory.
