Deck overview

Sarkhan, Soul Aflame leads a Dragon tribal deck focused on mana reduction, copy triggers, and high-impact burn damage. The deck develops mana through cost reducers and utility artifacts to cast large Dragons ahead of schedule. Sarkhan copies each entering Dragon, doubling flying board presence and noncombat damage triggers. Damage engines like Dragon Tempest, Lozhan, Dragons Legacy, and Sarkhan's Unsealing convert creature deployments into board control and direct damage. Games end either through overwhelming flying combat bolstered by Crucible of Fire or an explosive damage chain featuring Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Niv-Mizzet, Visionary, or a high-count Dragonstorm.
