Commander: Imotekh the Stormlord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black artifact recursion deck is led by Imotekh the Stormlord, who turns the graveyard into an assembly line of Necron Warrior tokens. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard with artifacts, then exploit mass reanimation-such as Living Death, Victimize, and Beacon of Unrest-to generate a horde of 2/2 tokens from Imotekh's triggered ability. The deck wins through gradual combat damage amplified by Stridehangar Automaton, draining effects like Marionette Apprentice and Psychomancer, and the inevitability of Bolas's Citadel activation. Secondary lines involve Altar of the Brood to mill opponents out incidentally, or Idol of Oblivion to create a single large threat. It is a midrange value engine that outgrinds opponents through recursion and token swarms.
