Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores commands an Abzan aristocrats and +1/+1 counter combo deck designed to control the board and assemble infinite sacrifice loops. The deck uses Ghave's dual abilities of converting +1/+1 counters into Saprolings and sacrificing creatures to grow threats. By combining Ghave with sacrifice engines like Ashnod's Altar and counter or token amplifiers like Good-Fortune Unicorn, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, or Doubling Season, the deck generates infinite creature death and enter triggers. These loops fuel drain outlets including Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats to eliminate the entire table simultaneously. Alternatively, wide token boards overrun opponents with Craterhoof Behemoth.
