Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck focuses on deploying the commander on turn 3 or 4 to immediately cheat game-warping Angels, Demons, and Dragons into combat. Its primary win condition revolves around putting decisive combat threats directly into play tapped and attacking, bypassing standard mana constraints. A signature line involves cheating Master of Cruelties to eliminate a key opponent on turn 4, then following up with game-ending beatdown from Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Aurelia, the Warleader, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames. The deck relies on efficient 2-mana rocks for acceleration and employs defensive spells like Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm to shield its board against sweepers. Because Kaalia must attack to function, its greatest bottleneck is vulnerability to spot removal before Kaalia can declare an attack.
