Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange kindred strategy helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It focuses on assembling a team of Marvel Villains, utilizing repeatable connive triggers to filter through the library, grow threats with +1/+1 counters, and weaponize discarded land cards into direct damage against each opponent. The deck establishes early board presence through low-cost Villains, deploys Doctor Doom on Turn 4 to initiate combat filtering and grant menace, and leverages compounding anthem and token engines like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Madame Hydra, and The Squadron Sinister. Discard outlets synergize with value enablers like Inti, Seneschal of the Sun and Containment Construct, while a flexible interaction suite of Grixis removal and board wipes manages opposing threats. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide, evasive combat damage supported by passive life drain.
