Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Angel tribal aristocrat and reanimator strategy piloted by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. It accelerates early with efficient mana rocks, tribal cost reducers, and self-mill engines to stock the graveyard with high-toughness Angels. Once Shilgengar enters the battlefield, sacrificing a single large Angel generates enough Blood tokens to immediately trigger its mass reanimation ability. Returning the entire graveyard at once floods the board with flying threats, lifegain triggers, and sacrifice attrition engines. Cards like Solemnity and mass blink effects prevent or remove finality counters, allowing repeated recursion loops. Opponents are kept in check with asymmetric sacrifice triggers from Grave Pact and Rampage of the Valkyries alongside locking pieces like Drana and Linvala and Brisela, Voice of Nightmares. The deck closes games rapidly on turn 6 through overwhelming flying combat damage amplified by Akroma, Vision of Ixidor and Archangel of Thune.
