Don't touch my rocks by jcarpenter822

Format: Commander

Commander: Mendicant Core, Guidelight

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Azorius artifact-value deck is helmed by Mendicant Core, Guidelight, a commander that grows in power based on your artifact count and, at max speed, copies artifact spells for a small tax. The primary game plan is to deploy cost reducers (Etherium Sculptor, Foundry Inspector, Voyager Quickwelder), ramp with mana rocks, and gradually increase speed by dealing combat damage each turn. Once at max speed, the deck generates explosive value by copying artifact spells, creating thopter and robot tokens, and drawing cards. Win conditions include combat damage from evasive artifact creatures like Kappa Cannoneer, Sharding Sphinx, and The Vision, as well as token swarms from Efficient Construction and Mechan Assembler. The deck also packs a control suite of counterspells, removal, and stax pieces to disrupt opponents while building its board.
