Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered competitive Mono-Blue combo-control list commanded by Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir. It leverages top-tier artifact acceleration—including Mishra's Workshop, Mana Vault, Sol Ring, and Moxen—to establish rapid mana velocity and deploy powerful engine pieces ahead of curve. The primary win condition generates infinite colorless mana through Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith combined with Power Artifact, funneling that mana into a lethal Walking Ballista, Staff of Domination, or Urza, Lord High Artificer to close out the game in a single turn. Alternatively, the deck can lock the table completely out of casting spells by resolving Knowledge Pool alongside Teferi. Backed by premier free countermagic such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Pact of Negation, alongside stax pieces like Arcane Laboratory and Vexing Bauble, the deck protects its own explosive win attempts while methodically dismantling opposing strategies.
