Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger strategy commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi serves as both an escalating burn engine and a potent mana generator, gaining +1/+1 counters and pinging every opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, then tapping for colored mana equal to its power. The deck uses an extensive suite of 1-mana cantrips to rapidly inflate Vivi's stats, generate massive mana bursts, and trigger secondary pingers such as Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Fiery Inscription. Damage modifiers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Mechanized Warfare, and City on Fire scale individual triggers into game-ending bursts. The deck supports this aggressive clock with efficient spot removal, sweepers like Blasphemous Act, and countermagic like Stubborn Denial. It reliably establishes its engine on Turn 4, threatens critical table-wide life loss on Turn 5, and closes out games on Turn 6.
