OUI MON CAPITAINE 🧑‍✈️ by cxrsed

Format: Commander

Commander: Captain Howler, Sea Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet discard-matters midrange deck helmed by Captain Howler, Sea Scourge. The core plan is to loot aggressively, convert every discard into temporary power via Howler's trigger, and connect with evasive bodies so the combat-damage clause refills the hand. Secondary engines-Magmakin Artillerist, Cool but Rude, Drake Haven, and Unctus, Grand Metatect-turn the same discard stream into table-wide burn, flying tokens, and extra loot. A compact infinite finish exists in Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind plus Curiosity, while Fear of Missing Out supplies an extra-combat spike once delirium is online. The deck wins through repeated evasive combat backed by discard payoffs rather than pure combo speed, with Howler acting as the central pump-and-draw engine that keeps the gas flowing.
