Deck overview

Alela, Cunning Conqueror heads a Dimir draw-go tempo deck focused on tribal Faerie synergy and instant-speed interaction. By holding up mana on opponents' turns, the deck casts cheap interaction, cantrips, and flash creatures to reliably trigger Alela, producing 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue tokens. When these evasive creatures attack, Alela goads opposing threats, deflecting incoming attacks and forcing opponents to whittle down each other's life totals. Card draw engines such as Bident of Thassa, Reconnaissance Mission, and Wavebreak Hippocamp replenish resources, while lord effects and drain engines like Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Shadow Puppeteers transform the evasive swarm into a lethal clock. The deck thrives on timing, flexibility, and mana efficiency, controlling the flow of the game before executing an aerial finish.
