Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov hatebears and reanimator strategy commanded by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. It slows down opponents during the early turns using disruptive creatures like Drannith Magistrate, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Leonin Arbiter. Once the table's development is taxed, the deck casts Squall to attack alone, granting double strike and triggering dual reanimation on combat damage. Each combat step returns up to two permanents with mana value 3 or less from the graveyard to play, repeatedly cycling edict creatures like Plaguecrafter to strip opposing boards clean. The deck grinds opponents down over several turns through commander damage, life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and continuous sacrifice attrition.
