Betor, Ancestor's Voice drives an Abzan life-gain/life-loss reanimation engine. The deck pays life for cards, self-mills, and converts that spending into Betor's end-step trigger: +1/+1 counters on a threat and one creature returned from the graveyard. Secondary paths are Vito/Bloodletter life-drain, the life-total enchants Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance, and Approach of the Second Sun, plus graveyard-threshold wins like Mortal Combat. It is a value-first build rather than a compact combo build: it needs a large self-life-loss turn, then turns that into an oversized board and drain. The commander's own flying lifelink keeps the life restored while the recursive threats close out all three opponents.
