Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Voltron and artifact synergy strategy commanded by Lyse Hext. Lyse serves as both a continuous cost reducer for noncreature spells and a lethal combat threat. By casting two discounted noncreature spells per turn, Lyse triggers prowess and gains double strike. The deck equips Lyse with high-stat equipment like Excalibur, Sword of Eden and Wrecking Ball Arm to eliminate opponents via commander damage starting on Turn 4. Robust defensive equipment like Commander's Plate and Mithril Coat combine with an ultra-efficient counterspell suite to shield the commander during critical attack turns. If the Voltron plan is contested, Urza, Lord High Artificer and Monastery Mentor provide formidable go-wide and go-tall backup plans, while Mystic Forge and Sensei's Divining Top offer an incidental infinite draw combo.
