Deck overview

This Selesnya Cat tribal deck, helmed by Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist, blends a +1/+1 counters theme with a dense land-ramp package to fuel a midrange combat plan. The commander's ability to limit opposing blockers and provide a personal Ghostly Prison effect gives the deck strong board control, while a suite of Ajani planeswalkers and Cat lords (Arahbo, the First Fang, Regal Caracal, Kaheera, the Orphanguard) turn a modest creature count into overwhelming board presence. The primary win condition is incremental combat damage from a growing swarm of Cats, supported by cards like Felidar Retreat that generate tokens and pump the team. The deck lacks any infinite combos or fast mana, relying instead on repeated landfall triggers and proliferate (Evolution Sage, Karn's Bastion) to accumulate counters. Winning is a matter of attrition - outlasting opponents through life gain, combat tricks, and the commander's defensive clause.
