Deck overview

This Mardu list is a monarch/politics deck built around Queen Marchesa. The primary plan is to become the monarch early, protect the title with goad effects, pillow-fort enchantments, and instant-speed fog/protection, and then convert the extra draws and Treasure generation into a large Debt to the Deathless or Exsanguinate. Secondary paths include goading opponents into fighting each other, grinding value through the Court cycle and Black Market Connections, and using Court of Ire as a slow alternate clock. Queen Marchesa acts as a hasty deathtouch attacker that retakes the crown and produces Assassin tokens; Smothering Tithe is the de facto hidden commander that fuels the endgame.
