Deck overview

This Mardu deck, helmed by Isshin, Two Heavens as One, is a combat-focused strategy that leverages the firebending mechanic to generate explosive red mana on attacks. Isshin doubles all attack triggers, making each firebending creature produce twice the mana. The deck aims to chain multiple combats using Overpowering Attack, generating enough mana to finish opponents with a massive Comet Storm or by exiling and playing opponents' cards with Fire Lord Ozai. Secondary win conditions include Purphoros, God of the Forge pinging from creature ETBs, and reanimation via The Rise of Sozin. The deck is aggressive and value-oriented, seeking to overwhelm opponents with tempo and mana advantage.
