Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Selesnya midrange and combo deck led by Samwise Gamgee. The strategy pairs cheap creature deployment and Food generation with potent token and +1/+1 counter engines. Its primary win condition is a deterministic infinite creature combo using Rosie Cotton of South Lane alongside Scurry Oak or Basking Broodscale, supported by redundant pieces such as Ivy Lane Denizen and Herd Baloth. The deck uses efficient green mana dorks and low-cost artifact ramp to assemble its engine ahead of curve, typically threatening an infinite board state by turn 4. Strong protective spells like Ranger-Captain of Eos, Flare of Fortitude, and Flawless Maneuver shield the combo pieces from interaction. While the infinite creature tokens require one turn cycle to attack due to a lack of haste, high card velocity and resilient recursion through Samwise keep the engine steady against opposing disruption.
