Deck overview

Sultai X-spell Hydra deck built around Zaxara, the Exemplary. Zaxara is both ramp and token engine: every spell with {X} in its mana cost triggers a Hydra token, while the commander can tap for two mana of any color to fund that same X spell. The primary plan is to ramp to Zaxara early, then cast large Hydras and X-spells so each card produces both its own effect and a body. Secondary paths are Simic Ascendancy as a direct win, X-draw into huge advantage, and big token waves from effects like Gelatinous Genesis or Hydra Broodmaster. Helm of Host can copy Zaxara into a slow mana engine. This list has no double-faced commander and no hidden commander: it is fully built around Zaxara and the X-payload density.
