Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck uses Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER as its central drain and draw engine. The front face draws a card when you sacrifice to its attack trigger and drains 1 life per other creature death, flipping after four deaths in a turn. The back face, Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, gives a permanent emblem that drains on every creature death and lets you sacrifice any number of creatures to draw. The deck wins without infinite combos by looping cheap recursive creatures and tokens through sacrifice outlets, stacking Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, and Meathook triggers, and closing with Gray Merchant, Kokusho, or Exsanguinate. Mikaeus, Yawgmoth, and Bolas's Citadel serve as secondary engines.
