Deck overview

Marvin, Murderous Mimic gives the deck unusual access to activated abilities from other creatures, but the list mainly functions as a high-curve colorless artifact and Eldrazi deck. Early turns develop lands, Sol Ring, mana rocks, and utility artifacts. Around turn 7, Ugin, the Ineffable is the most useful engine: it removes a colored permanent and reduces later colorless spells by {2}. Around turn 8, a reduced Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or another large threat creates the first credible must-answer state and generates additional cards. The deck has useful removal and artifact recursion, but limited protection and weak role-based tutoring. Its most exciting ceiling is a Marvin, Murderous Mimic mana loop with Forsaken Monument, Palladium Myr, and Pili-Pala or Voltaic Construct, followed by Walking Ballista. That line requires too many pieces to define ordinary performance. The deck therefore wins mainly through gradual board pressure rather than a dependable compact combo.
