K'rrik Commander by user4892092

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth converts black mana pips into life payments, allowing explosive early-game plays and heavy card draw. The deck's primary plan is to leverage K'rrik to cast expensive black spells and tutors ahead of curve, then convert life-gain triggers into table-wide damage via Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood, Vito, Enduring Tenacity, and Aetherflux Reservoir. Several drain spells and extort creatures provide incidental lifegain and reach. Secondary paths involve winning via Aetherflux Reservoir after chaining spells, or using Bolas's Citadel plus Sensei's Divining Top to draw through the deck. The deck is highly commander-dependent for speed but can still deploy midrange threats when K'rrik is unavailable.
